Kaitlyn and Kellie, y'all were right. This place is amazing! Almost every building is so ornate and decorated. I love it.
Today, we went to the Museo Reina Sofia and saw artwork by Picasso, Miro, and Dali. I really enjoyed it. Our guides and tour directors have been speaking solamente, or only, in Spanish, so I'm already learning it much better.
We had little sandwiches that only cost one euro apiece for lunch. So many people ordered beer with their meal....gross. It kinda blows my mind how easy it is to obtain alcohol. Don't worry, I'm not going to go crazy. There are so many people here that are all about going out and partying and it's definitely not my thing. Some bars here don't even open until 3 a.m. I'd much rather be sleeping, k thanks.
We walked through la Plaza del Sol and saw many cool statues of horses and prostitutes along the street. It made me sad to see them. During the afternoon, we took a tour of el Palacio Real, which was so incredible. Then we trekked to some Egyptian stone place that was the oldest monument in the city and laid in the grass in the park to relax. I've met alot of really sweet awesome people!
I just got finished showering and I think some of us are going to eat somewhere cheap nearby. I ordered a McDonald's Happy Meal yesterday and it was 3.65 euro. Expensive! But it came with yogurt and potato wedges and a smurf toy, so it was totally worth it. Haha.
Click on it if you want to see it bigger! En la puerta del sol! I look like a goober.
El Palacio Real
Me :) haha.
This reminded me of Kendyll An. Hahaha.
This was a cool street.
Here is my cell phone number: 011+34+606737981. If YOU call/text me, it's free. Thanks everyone who has texted me so far! (cough, Amber and Amber and Jessica <3) Sorry if I don't always respond; it's expensive.
I love y'all! Hope to update again soon! We leave for Toledo tomorrow.
