Lists.

Tonight, I was so angry at a person in my life.
I wanted to scream. I wanted to cuss at them. I wanted to make them hurt. I wanted to get drunk and feel nothing.

Brutal honesty is good, right?

I poured my glass of wine to the top and started to sip.
Got in the bed full of hatred and decided to forget everything that was said.

Thankfully, the Lord stopped me. The Spirit whispered to me to make this list. Eucharisteo

And my anger left. My negative thoughts couldn't fit in my head when all I was trying to do was think of positive ones. Thankfulness breeds joy. Joy helps us to be content with all we are blessed with. I realized how good He is, and how this person needs LOVE from Him and me. Even though it's so, so hard, I need to give love instead of hate.

Here's the list that saved me tonight from making a lot more mistakes. I encourage you to make a list like this whenever you're mad, and maybe it will help you, too.
